New Seasons

To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:

New Seasons

After 12 years Pages for the Dark Horses is going to be finishing our advocacy work. We will not be introducing any more new children but will slowly say goodbye (or hopefully Yay!) to the children currently on our list through July 2025.

What has Been

Pages for the Dark Horses was founded out of my desire to do something for orphans. In my early twenties all I could see were the things I couldn’t do: adopt, foster, international missions… yet, there was one thing I could do, pray.

I realized that there were likely other people out there just like me and so I decided to make prayer a corporate opportunity and our Dark Horse program was born.

Over the last 11+ years

415+ children featured

211 found forever families*

51% of children prayed for found families!

*We were not able to keep track of all the children we featured and some may have found families at a later time.

The number I know for certain is that 100% of the children we’ve prayed for have forever had their lives touched by those prayers.

Continuing in Prayer

Whenever we said “goodbye” to a child we always gave you the option to continue in prayer for them. The same is true now. Below is a list of resources if you would like to continue in prayer for waiting children.

Reese’s Rainbow

A wonderful advocacy ministry that features adoptable children, adoptive families and helps with fundraising.

CCAI (password)

This adoption agency has a waiting child list that is password protected but last I knew did not require a phone number to access the password.

Rainbow Kids (password)

This is a large database of available children from a host of adoption agencies. It is password protected but last I knew did not require a phone number to create an account.

AdoptUSKids

This is a large database of available children in the US Foster care system.

Looking Ahead

We can try and put numbers on the amount of children we have helped, but we can’t put numbers on the prayers, tears, and cheers of all of you. At Pages it was never about the "numbers" it was about the children, each precious individual.

You can't put a number on that.

Thank you!
