Another Way to Help the "One"

I'm excited to share that my family has found my little brother, Lil J on China's waiting child list!
We are so excited to be at this step in his adoption, but we are ever reminded of all those who still wait.
One way you can help the "One" who's not yet found their forever family yet, is by supporting a wonderful place called, Maria's Big House of Hope.
This exciting project provides love and care for orphans throughout China who are in desperate need of surgeries and special medical attention.
Located in Luoyang, which is in the Henan province and has a population of around 6 million people, this caring facility is a beacon of hope to the people of China and the world. Henan is one of the poorest provinces in all of China. The state-run Luoyang orphanage takes care of nearly 700 children and ends up with most of the “special needs” orphans from all around Henan.
Maria's Big House of Hope is a 6 story building that is equipped with everything needed to care for orphans with special needs. Every child in this facility is 5 years old or younger, and these represent some of the neediest orphans in China.
To learn more about the daily life and kiddos at Maria's Big House of Hope, check out their blog:
One post I'm especially fond of is "Merry Christmas From Maria's Big House of Hope"
It has a slide show of some very special kids. If you click on the banner (Show Hope's Christmas 2011 at MBHOH Album Set) above the pictures it will take you to Flicker so you can see their names. MBHOH names each child that come in. Every child receives a name that proclaims life over them. One little guy I'm especially fond of is Tatum. (-;
