He is All

 

A dear friend of mine, who is serving in the Philippines, emailed these words to me a short time ago and I found her honesty encouraging. We who walk this narrow road, often share of the beauty that we have seen, but we have all suffered through many dark nights to witness such splendor.

"This life is not always easy.
But He never said it would be.
There is unspeakable Joy for those who follow Jesus. There is always Grace sufficient for our every need. But this is also a narrow road. In this world we will have trouble. There is pain.
We are bought with a price. We are citizens of heaven. We are called to live our lives for something – Someone – greater than ourselves.
Sometimes the things He asks us to do are hard. But, in due time, we will reap a great harvest if we do not give up.
He asks all. He gives all. He is all."
