Dark Horses of the Month January 2025: Paul and Eric!

Oh, send out Your light and Your truth!
Let them lead me;
Let them bring me to Your holy hill
And to Your tabernacle.
Psalm 43:3

This month's Dark Horses are Paul (15) and Eric (13)! These brothers hope to be adopted together before Paul is too old for international adoption.

Please join us in prayer for these brothers!

Dear Father, I thank You for these young men and for the plans that You have for them. I ask that You would provide them with a family, whether through adoption or through surrounding them with support in their home country. Do not let them slip through the cracks of society. You know the needs that they have and I ask that You would daily be their provider, in each and every situation. Bring Your salvation to them and build them up into honorable and godly men who will lead with Your wisdom and love. We thank You for their lives and for the purposes You have for them. In Jesus Christ' name, amen.

Dark Horse of the Month Melonie!

Many, O LORD my God, are Your wonderful works
Which You have done;
And Your thoughts toward us
Cannot be recounted to You in order;
If I would declare and speak of them,
They are more than can be numbered.
Then I said, "Behold, I come;
In the scroll of the book it is written of me.
Psalm 40:5;7

This month's Dark Horse is 13 year old Melonie!
Melonie has a number of diagnosis that seem odd to me and there is no explanation about them. It makes me wonder if they are old (as in her condition when she first came into institutional care?) Head injuries and malnutrition are things that should be treated right away and should ultimately be treatable. Or it seems they should have discovered other underlying conditions. But no such things are listed.

All that to say Melonie is a bit of a mystery and for that reason she tugged at my heart. Who is this young lady? Buried in labels what would we find underneath?

Please join us in prayer for Melonie!

Dear Father, I thank You for this precious girl. Thank You that Your thoughts toward her are more than can be numbered. She is written in Your book and her days are all known to You.
I ask that You would bring her out of this dark place she is hidden away in and deliver her life from the fear that keeps families away from her.
Please move upon the hearts of her future parents, that they would press through to learn the truth. And even in the face of the unknown, give them the grace and the boldness to step out and bring their daughter home.
I thank You that Your salvation has been sent to her.
In Jesus Christ' name, amen.
