Dear Father, I thank You for the precious young man! I ask that You would bring forth a family who will take him under their wing. A family who will love him and give him the chance to be a kid. A family who will support him throughout his life and stand by him. I ask that You would rescue Derick, strengthen him to be able to overcome this challenging start in life that he might grow up to be a strong and faithful leader with his family, in Your church, and in his community, Lord. May he be known for his sincerity, integrity, and his smile that comes from the deep joy he will find in You.
