Goodbye Michael and Sophie

 

Hear my cry, O God;

Attend to my prayer.

From the end of the earth I will cry to You,

When my heart is overwhelmed;

Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

Michael's file has not been visible on the agency where we found him but last we knew he was still waiting to be found by his family. He may have aged out of eligibility for international adoption as he was very close to being 16. Either way, this is not the end of the story and we know that Lord completes what He starts! Amen!

Dear Father, I thank You for Your faithfulness to bring to the completion the work that You have begin and specifically the work You began with the creation of Michael. I ask that You would care for him and provide for him no matter where he goes. That he would always see and feel Your love for him all the days of his life. We release him back to You now with confidence. In Jesus Christ' name, amen.

Sweet Sophie is from a country that sadly is no longer open to international adoption. Domestic adoption is a possibility but last we knew she was still waiting to be found by a forever family.

Dear Father, I thank You that Sophie has not been forgotten by You. I thank You that You will care and provide for her. I ask that she would not have to spend her whole life in an orphanage, but that she would have the opportunity to be fostered in a home environment. I ask that You would bring people into her life that will love and support her like a family. May she never be left to walk this road of life alone. When she is grown may You bless her with a husband to provide, care for and love her. A godly man who will lead her and their family in Your truth. We release her back to You now with confidence. In Jesus Christ' name, amen.
